Comprehensive Evaluations: (2 hours, includes report)

Believe In Yourself Speech, Language, and Literacy, LLC, offers individualized and comprehensive speech/language and literacy evaluations, which take place at the clinic or through telehealth. 

A Look at the Evaluation Process:

1. A parent or caregiver requests a free 15 minute consultation with one of our licensed American Speech Hearing Association Speech-Language Pathologists to discuss concerns and if an evaluation is warranted. 

2. If an evaluation is warranted, a parent or caregiver schedules an evaluation with the Speech-Language Pathologist, either in-person or via telehealth. An evaluation time frame is discussed, as each evaluation is based on the child’s age, ability to sustain attention, parent/caregiver attendance, and the type of evaluation. 

3. Before the evaluation, a parent or caregiver completes intake paperwork and a developmental history of the child. This paperwork is securely emailed and completed online. The Speech-Language Pathologist completing the evaluation thoroughly reviews the completed paperwork before the evaluation. 

4. Once the evaluation is completed, another appointment is scheduled to review the evaluation results.

5. At the second appointment (via in-person, a telephone call, or secured video conferencing), the parent or caregiver receives a comprehensive written report that includes the case history, evaluation results, language/literacy observations, and a treatment plan. A treatment plan includes long-term speech/language and/or literacy goals, short-term objectives to assist with meeting those goals, suggestions for carryover at home and at school, and recommendations for treatment frequency and time frame.

Literacy Tutoring: 

Virtual or in person literacy tutoring. Certified in Lindamood-Bell LiPs ©, Seeing Stars ©, Visualizing and Verbalizing ©. Orton Gillingham Classroom Educator and Associate course work; completing practicum for Associate Certification. Session times are determined at 45 or 60 minutes with a minimum of two times a week. 

Individualized Therapy: (30, 45 or 60 minutes)

At Believe In Yourself Speech, Language, and Literacy, LLC therapy is always individualized, evidence-based, driven by your child’s unique needs and interests, and most importantly FUN! Children learn best during play. Therapy sessions are provided at our child friendly clinic or through teletherapy.  Caregivers are always encouraged to be an active participant in our therapy sessions. We feel strongly that this allows for the best carryover of activities and specific skills outside of the therapy room. Therapy sessions are usually scheduled for 30 or 45 minutes. We can work together as a team to determine the appropriate session length, frequency, and setting that will help meet your child's individual needs.

Phone Consultations: (15 minutes)
